Welcome to the May e-newsletter for 2012!

There’s a lot happening at Fern Hill this month. We’ve just received our new menus fresh from the printers – we can still smell that “just packaged” scent. We’ve also revamped our wine list, so the two new menus will be launching alongside each other. We’ve given both a visual nip-tuck, and we’re really chuffed with the final results.

Don’t forget that Mother’s Day is this month (it’s on the 13th for those of you who had completely forgotten) and we’ll be hosting a special family carvery. There are more details further on in the newsletter.

Mother’s Day is coming up on Sunday 13 May and the day is always a popular one at Fern Hill Hotel. We’ll be hosting an extra special Sunday carvery for all mums and their families, complete with gifts on arrival and dozens of delicious carvery items.

We’ve already been open for bookings for a few weeks, and we’re rapidly approaching our capacity so if you want to join us we recommend that you make a booking soon.

The cost is R175 per person, R95 for children under 11 and R155 for pensioners.

We’ve just redesigned our Snooty Fox à la carte menus and given them a visual overhaul. On top of that, we’ve added some new delicious items to our already extensive menu. Some old favourites are making a return (like the Cannelloni and, our particular favourite, the Chicken Provençale) and we’re introducing some new items to keep things exciting.

On top of a new à la carte menu, we’ve put together a brand new wine list! As you know, over the last three years we’ve won Diners Club Wine List awards ranging from Golds to Platinums.

We’re really excited about our new menus, and we’re sure you’ll find them equally so the next time you visit.

Until the end of May, Fern Hill is offering the most incredible accommodation special: R500 per room per night!

All pensioners will receive a 10% discount off their total bill every lunchtime on Tuesday.

What’s more, there is no service charge for pensioner tables of less than five people.

The Pizza menu is available from Thursdays to Saturdays at Fern Hill Hotel. In addition, every Thursday is Pizza Special Day, with a large (30cm) Margherita pizza for only R18! This offer is for eat-in only, and guests may choose to dine on the deck, in the restaurant or in the pub.

One thing is certain: the curries at Fern Hill are really popular! Fun fact: our Chicken & Prawn curry has been the top selling meal on the à la carte menu for a very long time. As such, we’ve decided to launch a Friday Night Curry Evening menu. The menu covers curries from all over the world, including Thai curries. For those less inclined for fiery food, we still serve our regular à la carte menu on Fridays so no need to fret.

There’s live music every Friday night in the Snooty Fox at Fern Hill Hotel.

The music creates an atmosphere second to none, so come and enjoy some relaxing, live entertainment with family and friends.

Of course, the fact that we serve amazing food also helps!
Come and sip some sundowners on our Deck and then join us for some amazing Curry dishes and live entertainment every Friday night.
